‘The Killing of Fr. Niall Molloy’ is one of Ireland’s most complex and controversial cold cases from 1985. After years of extensive research, Sharon made a 2-part documentary for RTÉ which won the Royal Television Society Best Factual Series in 2022. A set of the bedroom he was killed in was reconstructed using Garda technical drawings and the evidence was tested by three forensic experts, resulting in the conclusion that the events could not have happened as the witnesses claimed. It remains an open case.
